EuroArts 2066758 The EuroArts reissue of a famous abstract staging of Wozzeck is timely, coming before the new production at ENO, which company can always be relied upon for something different and unconventional. Highly regarded in 1994, it will take a lot of beating. The most concentrated of major operas, it is riveting to watch and the sound quality is superb, with good balance allowing full value to the words, aided by clear English subtitles. The earlier review by Classical Net duplicates my response precisely so I leave you with my recommendation and that link. On Amazon you will see that "Daniel Barenboim and the Berlin Staatskapelle and Staatsoper Chorus set the seal on this flaying experience"... Peter Grahame Woolf
