A fine succession of 20C sonatas for solo violin. Hindemith's were composed for his two violinist colleagues in the Amar Quartet of which he was the violist. Bartok's in American exile is the best.

Best not played straight through. Feng's modern violin (S-P Greiner) sounds good as a Strad !
