Another I Fagiolini special from the team which took Monteverdi's Quarto Libro dei Madrigali into restaurants and onto DVD.

Here we have sumptuous musical monumentalism, with a seven-choir in a reconstructed Vespers service for choirs and instruments, including dramatic cannon fire, bells and fanfares at the climax in a Magnificat attr.Gabrieli/Hugh Keyte.

A similar programme was given at a Prom and this makes an exciting CD which needs good equipment to do it justice.
