A delightful disc celebrating the music of a composer familiarly seen at London new music events, and of whom I'd noted but an occasional piece.

"Undriven by theory and apparently untouched by avant-garderie, minimalism or post-modern poly-stylistics" [Bayan Northcot], each of these works has its individuality, described by Keeley himself in succinct notes.

Two Ways of Looking at a Spider has prompted the unusual image back and front of the booklet; seemingly indulgent, the beautiful photo was taken by Rob Keeley himself !
