A nicely varied programme, well ordered, given in a recording which quickly disarmed me (a dedicated fortepiano devotee) to a Steinway D as prepared by L H Niedermeyer & recorded by Philip Hobbs.

Delightful "touch" and freshness supported by impeccable technique and an alert ear. If you still want your Mozart on modern piano, this is for you.

Peter Grahame Woolf

Linn has given us "some of the finest Steinway piano sounds I have ever heard" [hi-fi+].
