This still young Japanese born composer has long lived in UK and has composed prolifically in manners which seeks to assimilate his roots to the extent that if he sees some "japanesenesses" he deletes them.

However, the core of this compilation is perhaps five pieces for Okeanos (with sho and koto).

There is also Phantom Pulse recorded by Lucerne Percussion Group, arising from his period working there with Boulez.

An ebullient personality, Dai Fujikura is sure to have many surprises in store for us (and indeed for himself) after this auspicious landmark.
