Mondrian Ensemble Basle

CPE Bach, Dieter Ammann & Rudolf Kelterborn

A fine broadcast promo-CD has been received from this ensemble, featured in my Lucerne Summer Festival report 2005.

The CPE Bach trios are perfect foils to the substantial contemporary Swiss works. The Ammann string trio is already available on commercial CD (Grammont Portrait series) and Kelterborn's Four Pieces for Four Players (2005), a powerful work premiered by this group, might be considered for the ensemble's forthcoming debut at Wigmore Hall.
